Bug

I am sitting at Williams across the street from Mac, alone as usual. They take debit here, and I forgot to bring my microwaveable dinner from home...I have night class soon, so this is going to be quick random post.

Work kind of sucks right now because I keep getting shifts at crappy times, but whatever.

A guest prof for my ecology course showed us his collection of insect porn. I'm not kidding...He's a crazy bug-obsessed person that takes pictures of raccoon and dog crap in his backyard because there are bugs on it. He spent half an hour taking pictures of two spiders mating, and checks a pair of walking-sticks everyday. Apparently, walking-sticks hold the record for longest time in copulation, which is 78 days if I remember correctly. Yeah, overall entertaining and bizarre lecture.

I have a neuroscience midterm next Wednesday, and on the same day I have a botany quiz. Yay fun.

I am sad that I won't be able to see HSM3 in theaters, mostly because I don't have time now.

Yeah, I need to walk back to my locker and then head for class.

Swamped

So, I figured I should update if I'm going to procrastinate. Actually, I'm not really procrastinating because I was technically doing work, just not for an actual class. I was working on my article about a method in treating depression (using magnetic pulses) for the Meducator (the health research/ethics magazine at Mac). I believe the deadline is on Wednesday for the next issue, so needless to say, I'm behind on this and also a lot of other stuff. I've got many, many chapters to read for several classes. I have to finish Romeo and Juliet because we're done discussing it in class now. This is why you don't stop doing work for other classes to study for a midterm, but I had ten chapters to go through for that so it seemed like the good thing to do at the time.

I got the position for Frontline editor! It's exciting, but we haven't been able to really start yet. We had one meeting so far, and hopefully one next week. I'm just glad I'm actually involved in something at the school now. Next goal is to find something physically active to join, but I need to learn how to balance the current commitments.

Thanksgiving weekend involved studying for previously mentioned midterm. Damn ecology.

My Internet is being bizarre again. I think we're switching to Rogers some time, eventually. I had the thought that it's funny to order over the Internet while still on another provider because it's like going behind their back and betraying them. Yep.

My laptop is also being bizarre. I made a folder to put all the articles I found for the Meducator in, and the next day the folder randomly became corrupt. It won't even let me delete it, and my bried investigation on the Internet (Google) did not help. It's not the only foler either, but I don't remember what the other one is for...Yeah, next thing I did was backup important stuff on USB. Also, something occurred that removed all the useless desktop icons that came with the laptop too...Um, virus?

I found the first Superman movie 4 disks dvd at Zehrs for only $7, so I purchased it despite the last cheap movie I bought there not work properly (newest Planet of the Apes). This was also the first time that I'm seeing the movie for some reason, and I thought it was pretty good for when the movie was released. Imagine is Clark on Smallville could reverse time...This season has been a lot better actually.

I finally had Friday off again yesterday and was able to meet Kelly. We ran errands and went to the same stores we always go to at the mall, which is EB Games, Pet Crazy, and Sunrise. Then we went to Wal-Mart and saw the current state of the construction there. It kind of makes me sad to see the Brantford Mall gone actually.

I now wake up before 9:00 automatically without an alarm.

I'm going to Mac tomorrow after lunch to read Neuroscience textbook in the library until I work at 5.

I watched The Fox and the Hound last night, and it's still sad.

I'm tired right now. Um, probably because I wake up before 9:00 when I don't have to...

Here's hoping I catch up on everything this upcoming week.

Brief

So much for daily updates, eh? It's been super busy lately though. It hasn't been a good time at all. Let's see, since my last update, I've manage to slice my finger with a scalpel, which is for botany, and I had it in my bag. I cut myself again during the lab yesterday too, but not as severe. I also had a sore throat yesterday too; most likely from being rained on as I traversed the campus. This didn't help on my neuroscience midterm, which went so-so at best. At one point during work, I crushed my hand in the giant walls that we have to move out to divide up CIBC Hall into separate smaller rooms. When I went in to volunteer last week, the first thing I got were instructions to do something, without a hello or anything at all, which I thought was kind of rude...My essay for cultural studies is kind of not good, but we'll see. Printing it wasn't fun either, as I was in Thode attempting to print my ad in colour, but the colour printer is only in Mills for some reason, unless the computer lied. Yeah, I should go and do work now...
