It's starting to become clear to me lately that it's important to keep a journal of some sort no matter how sporadic the updates are because it helps to organize life. It helps me anyways. I started using Google Calendar a while back (first week of June now that I look at it) to help me be more organized. I'm not sure when it happened, but my life got a bit more busy, and it was enough to warrant signing up for a google account. The plain old making list thing wasn't cutting it anymore. Perhaps I'll make the switch over to Google permanent in the future since it also gave me a new email account.
So, I want to begin recording my life again in some capacity. That's the purpose of coming back here after so long I guess. I initially started writing this entry on Livejournal (last entry on there was in Appril, which I found out was made private for some reason...), but Jimmy said to do it on here. This involved me scouring for my username and password, and then somehow I was logged in after discovering my Google Photos account. So, technically, I already had an account and didn't need to make a new one for Calendar...Yeah, maybe I should consider merging everything together somehow.
The natural place to start would be late April and May, but I really don't remember everything that I did. Let's attempt this though. It'll be a memory exercise with a little bit of cheating from Facebook and other resources that hold clues as to what I did in the pre-Google Calendar era.
May 2010
Before I get to the actual May 2010 stuff, I have to talk about my term 2 marks (of course...). They were: 7, 8, 9, 10. Yep, sequential and indicative of how much I enjoyed each class. I wasn't too surprised with any of them; however, Fairy Tales definitely should have been more than a 9. It's really the only disappointment of the bunch. The anthropology course was my highest mark, which further helped push me more towards that path.
Alright, what did I do in May? I remember taking Anthro 1A03 - Intro to Cultural Anthropology. I was at school early the first day of class, and I ran into Justin in the student centre. I told him I had class that night, and he happened to be in the class too! It was an excellent class. Professor Cummins was a great teacher; he certainly kept me entertained with his stories and beliefs. In that first lecture, he told us about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: McDonalds, Nike, Wal-Mart, and Disney. It was stuff like that that made the class worth going to two nights a week. I ended up getting a 10 in the class, which is slightly disappointing since I got a 91 on the midterm (my highest mark on a test in university I believe). Overall, a good class.
Having Justin in the class was great too. There was always a mention of poop after each class from him. Yep, he is obsessed with poop. Not actually, but he does use the term often enough for it to be a joke. I see him all the time in the student centre too while I'm doing setups. At one point, I was over at his house playing Katamari, which I have to say is the weirdest game ever. I couldn't even beat the level that I was playing. I also went to Westend for the first time, which I discovered to be delicious. Kieran works there and had added mushrooms or something extra anyways to our burgers.
(Blogspot deleted everything that I wrote from this point on, which was a lot. It's late, so I'm going to bed. I will attempt to remember what I wrote tomorrow.....I knew I should have stuck with livejournal....)
