Four Days

I'm a couple of days behind in updating on this blog because it just takes longer than it needs to be so I never feel like doing it. So, now I'm here to update on the missing days before I'm even more behind.

So, let's begin with Sunday! I spent the afternoon reading 52 even though I should be reading Jimmy's Batman comics first, but I started 52 and was hooked like I was with the first volume. My parents and I left around 3-ish for Pacific Mall to see some family from my dad's side. Most of them live up in that area I think, but an uncle flew in from France. We got sidetracked on the way there because of that explosion that happened in Toronto so the highway was closed. It took us an extra hour or so to get there because of traffic lights and such. We walked around for a bit in the mall since the family weren't going to be there until 6:00-ish. I bought a bubble tea from a cute girl because I felt bad since no one was, and she was across from a place that sold these red bean cake things where there were huge lineups. We eventually went over to the Market Village next door for groceries, but I went off on my own to another store and found a turtle massager as an early birthday present for Kelly and a Buster Gundam model for myself (that Gundam was the cheapest one on the entire shelf, but it's still cool). After that, we met up with the family and had dinner at some restaurant there. The food kind of really sucked. We headed home after that.

Now for Monday! I went to downtown with Laura. Stir it Up was the first place we went to, and I found out that all their prices went up. This just makes me not want to go there anymore because it was already pretty expensive. We went to the library where I took out all four plays I'm going to be reading in my Shakespeare class, assuming that I'm still going to be doing English. I also took out Epic Movie and a Romeo & Juliet movie (one of the plays we're doing). We then went to Coffee Culture before we left downtown.

I volunteered that night at Day Surgery, but I left half an hour early because there was nothing else for me to do. I checked all the areas for restocking, did the recycling, and I discharged the rest of the patients that they had.

Later on that night, I hung out with Kelly downtown. We found these swinging benches that we didn't know existed, but others did because there's a lot of names and such scratched onto them. We went down by the river where a father was teaching his son baseball by letting him hit rocks with a bat, or he was just letting him do that and not teaching. We sat under the bridge for a while before we went to the mall to see Tony, who joined us later. We went to Wal-Mart twice and attempted to find an imaginary donkey that Kelly made up (it prob exists and was just sleeping). We then got food and went to Kelly's for a bit. American Mall is a really bad musical.

So, that's a Kelly durr face up there. Apparently there's a store that offers free hugs...And I made a plastic origami box while at the mall.

Next is Tuesday, or yesterday as it is known for this particular case. I volunteered in the morning for Transport where we got very few calls. Although I found a book of word searches so that keeps me mildly entertained. My neighbor from across the street came in for a bit too, so it was nice talking to her for a bit. After I got home, I started cleaning my room, which was really just throwing out all my university notes from last year. I think I'm going to actually file everything from now on. I definitely need to get another set of shelves or drawers though.

That night, I finally watched Brother Bear with Brianna after planning it for over a year. We signed each other's year books too, which was also long overdue. Her message was really nice and I really enjoyed her drawings too.

That brings us to today, Wednesday. I volunteered in the afternoon in Transport. Oh yeah, I'm volunteering a lot this week because I was asked to by the convener since people were going to be away. Anyways, the senior volunteer I met and worked with today was really funny. It's too bad that I probably won't work with him again though cause this shift was a one time thing.
