Operation: Rebirth

This is a new beginning of sorts, but it's more like an alternate representation of my life; for the time being anyways. I've been using livejournal as my blog since 2003 and figured it was time to move on from it; however, I don't think I'm quite ready to let go of it yet. That journal's my link to the past, but all things have to end eventually. I'm just not ready to completely migrate over to here yet because I feel like it'll be a rebirth of sorts if I do, which I don't feel ready for yet. I'm definitely being overly deep or whatever about this, but well, that's just how I roll sometimes. In short, I will still be writing over on animeblaze (username clearly shows its age), and I will be using this more so for picture blogging and have it be a visual view of my life. I might leave livejournal permanently at the end of this year or maybe never, but we'll see.

So, let us begin with today's adventure...

This is
Kelly. We go way back, having gone to the same elementary school. We weren't as close back then, but as the years passed through the high school years, we hung out more and now she's one of my closest friends.

This is at William's, a usual hangout place for food and drinks. She's counting her change and probably thinking: "Why is he taking a picture of me counting change?"

We ended up at
Glenhyrst eventually because the tropical fish store was closed. Then again, Glenhyrst was also closed, but we went for a walk through the garden areas. I hadn't been here since I was nine or ten, which was for summer art camp.

There were some dec
orated tiles, and I only took pictures of two, but this Dragon Ball Z one is better and stood out from all the rest. This reminded me of how I was obsessed with Power Rangers when I went to the art camp. Actually, I still watch the occasional episodes so I know what's going on in general.

H
ere are just some of the random stuff in the gardens. I really have no idea what the two pieces of art are supposed to be, but they look neat. The peacock looked really cool, and there were actually some stones inside its mouth. I suppose someone was trying to feed it.

After walking around for a bit, we headed down the hill
(with exaggerated arm swinging motions) to see what was there, and that was when we had an alien encounter.
Above is the crop circle that we discovered. The object in the middle appears to be a rock, but it's our theory that it is actually the spaceship in disguise. As well, there were dragonflies hovering around it, which means the aliens also disguised themselves as insects to observe us.

Here's Kelly sitting on the spaceship and pointing at where the landing platform was. As you can see, there are two long strips there in the grass where the aliens must have walked down.

Kelly made contact with several of the alien dragonflies, so hopefully they didn't plant a tracking device on her or anything.

Why would the aliens choose to land here of all places? I think they plan to attack us starting with our culture.

To the left is another spaceship, obviously.

Here is the stage where we did a play at the summer art camp. I can't remember what the play was, but it was on a children's book. I remember I didn't have speaking parts, but I had to run across the stage with a cardboard cut out of a water wave I believe.

This sculpture thing was really cool. It looks like it must have taken a long time, but it was definitely wort
h it. Then I thought it looked spectacular with just the sky in the background...

Kelly thought this resembled one of those trees that kids draw with the block and then branches coming out. She dubbed it the "cut-off tree" because the top has been cut off. We thought it was a species that was actually like that until we examined it closer.

Over to the right is where I
remember playing British bulldog at the summer art camps.

Then the building here was the classroom where we did the arts and crafts.

Once we were done at Glenhyrst, we went over to Andrew's house. He's one of my oldest friends, and even though we kind of drifted apart in high school, we still see each other at times and are good friends. This is Husha (sp?), one of his dogs. She actually lifted her head to "pose" when I took her picture.

To the right is Kristen, Andrew's girlfriend. She's a nice girl and perfect for Andrew, I think. Yeah, that's the cupboard of junk food that she and Kelly were going through.

Here's Andrew signing my year book with his mom and dog in the background. The message was kind of hard to read, but it was a nice one, as well as Mark's and Kristen's.

Here's the final picture for today. This is Mark, another old friend. He moved away but comes back all the time. Actually, he's staying at Andrew's house right now. Well, he's leaving for Cobourg again tomorrow. The point is, is that he's one indecisive kid, but he's a good friend.

So, this entry took a long time to do because of how blogspot is. I probably won't do daily entries like this one where it's full of pictures, but I'll aim for one a week that are like this.
